ONE Way Student Ministry
Hello to those viewing this page. Allow me to share a little about the Youth Ministry with you. My name is Jim Thomas, Director of Youth Ministries here at Hickory U.P. Church. At ONE Way we believe that making friends and having fun are intrinsically important, but not the most important thing. At One Way we strive to find that balance of fun, while still teaching from the word of God that are relevant and effective for Youth today! If you are a parent or student reading this I'd like the chance to share with you our Purpose statement and what's going on in our ministry to students from 6th to 12th grade.
Our Purpose Statement
One Way student Ministry of Hickory U.P. church Exists to:
Purposely gather and instruct Christians. Offer all we have in service to our community (both local and global). exalt and revere our Lord and Savior. Spread the Good New of Jesus Christ with both word and deed.
That's our prayer at ONE Way youth. To just give you an idea about how we live out our purpose statement is some of our meeting times and events. We have regular meeting times for both JR. (Wednesday nights 7-8:30 PM) and SR. High (Tuesday nights from 7-9:30PM). See links below for more details on these meeting times. We also have one or two major events each month throughout the year. Such events are 5th Quarter, After Dark, 30 Hour Famine, Scavenger Hunt for Food and JR. High "Adventure Week." We also offer short term missions each year to the SR High. Please join us some time and find out what God is doing with our youth
