Krepps Covered Bridge Festival

Krepps Covered Bridge Festival

The Hickory U.P. Church will sponsor the Washington and Green Counties Covered Bridge Festival at the Krepps Covered Bridge for the twelfth year on September 17-18, 2016.  The Krepps Covered Bridge is a working bridge in a beautiful rural setting near the farming community of Hickory, PA.  Attendance has been good each year, and based on feedback from guests and vendors, we are known as a quality event.   We counted 2511 guests at the 2015 Festival.   See scenes from a recent event.

We feature live entertainment on the stage, delicious homemade food from the kitchens of Hickory U.P. Church, an antique tractor show on Saturday, antique/classic car and truck show on Sunday, children’s activities, American Civil War re-enactors, when available and, of course, fantastic crafts, and home and personal products. We are striving to improve the quality of all activities in 2016. The Festival is open from 10AM to 6PM on Saturday and from 10AM to 4PM on Sunday. We will have Church service at the bridge on Sunday at 8:30AM.

Washington and Greene Counties are the home of 30 covered bridges; this year’s Covered Bridges Festival will be held at 10 of these sites.  For a driving tour of all the bridges and information about the Washington and Greene Counties Covered Bridge Festival, see http://www.visitwashingtoncountypa.com/coveredbridge.php.
